Advantage of having smartwatch is that, these are not only able to perform all the above mentioned tasks perfectly but they are very small too. So, you can easily wear them on your wrist and perform these tasks on the go without taking your phone out of your pocket.
As the smartwatches came to market, they became the trend. More and more companies are launching smartwatches and more and more people are purchasing this gadget too.

Rumored to release on late 2013, Apple iWatch will finally become a reality in 2014. In the recent history, it is the most rumored product which is never-spotted by Apple Inc. anywhere. Many people created many concept design about Apple iWatches. Though, it is sure that Apple iWatch will take care of second screen companion like text-messages, notifications, calls, emails etc. but how it will manage all these things in its small iWatch is hard to tell.
Samsung Galaxy Gear
Samsung Galaxy Gear is a cool smartwatch from Samsung which is already available in the market. This smartwatch has been released by Samsung on Sep 25, 2013. The device serves as a companion to Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Criticized for having inadequate implementation of software, few apps, poor battery life, the product actually come up with very powerful specifications.
It is running on Android 4.3, have storage capacity of 4 GB, memory 512 MB, camera, bluetooth, good battery life and more.
Claimed as best smartwatch of 2013 by many organizations, Pebble smartwatch is very cool gadget with minimal design. This smartwatch is not cool only in design but it is compatible with both Android as well as iOS devices. It allows users to customize its interface for example, downloading different watch face. Pebble smartwatches also have control over certain phone functions too such as, showing Caller ID, displaying SMS, emails, etc.
i’m Watch comes from an Italian companies which offers little more refinements and design chops then other smartwatches listed above. It has got very cool design and stylish, user-friendly UI. This smartwatch supports iOS 4+, Android 4.0+ and Blackberry 10 via Bluetooth to do things like attending calls, connect to internet, texts, emails, etc. ‘i’m Watch’ is equipped with all needed features and functionalities .

While most of the companies are gearing up to lauch their first smartwatch with/without users’ expected features. Sony has launched Sony Smartwatch 2 that have all the features and functionalities that you expects from a big brand product. It has features like navigate to a location, attending phone calls, send/receive text messages and emails and many other features because of which you pulls your smartphone out of your pocket.
ConnecteDevice Cookoo Smartwatch
Cookoo smartwatch is a Kickstarter funded smartwatch from ConnecteDevice. It connects with your smartphone via Bluetooth. It is currently an iOS-only smartwatch but there is a hope for future compatibility with other platforms like Android and Windows phone. Like other smarwathes, Cookoo smartwatch shows notifications for reminders, calls, texts. It uses so little power that the smartwatch is claimed to have a battery life of one year.
MetaWatch Strata is another second-screen app for your smartphone. It connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. While offering basic functionalities to call or send/receive messages this smartwatches supports all sort of social networks and through its custom UI it shows number of notifications at one time.
Martian smartwatch is another Kickstarter funded project which goes beyond Cookoo smartwatches and offers voice control of your phone’s features. This, it does via integration with Google’s voice control on Android and Siri on iOS. For example, you can say “send a text” or “call home” to make things work on your voice command. Martian smartwatch connect with iOS and Android via bluetooth.
